Ten Thousand Motels My first impulse is to vote cool but he used to treat people like shit. That IMO tarnishes his legacy. Great voice though.

So I vote uncool.

Ten Thousand Motels MY WAY

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I’ll say it clear,
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.

I’ve lived a life that’s full.
I’ve traveled each and ev’ry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.
I’ve had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -

pdog If everyone whoever treated people like shit, especially a celebrity, determined if they were cool, The Stones may be the uncoolest...
Frank is all cool...In fact he's so cool he pisses ice cubes in the dessert...
January 11th, 2006 12:20 PM
Jumping Jack Like Elvis, Willie Mays, and Ali, cool but went too long and ended up a bad joke and clown.
January 11th, 2006 12:23 PM
PeerQueer Sinatra was the man.

In our spineless politically-correct world is he "cool"? No....

But that world is pretty fucked up - -

Frank and Dino, those cats were straight up cool ass mother fuckers!

The voice, the swagger, the sense of style, and he bagged some top shelf broads by the dozen---

Hell yeah he was cool!

Elvis beat everyone in terms of the clown thing. Sinatra a bit less so.

Jumping Jack The real question is whether the Stones will know when to pack it up or are they destined to become ass clowns?

That is something I prefer not to think about at this point.

Jumping Jack Agreed, they are not there yet!!! Ticket prices give them much less margin of error though.

Well, which is worse? The Stones will quit when Charlie, Mick or Keith throw in the towel. I don't think the idea of becoming "ass clowns" matters to them.

Dick Bush Franky is for me the notion of uncool... An old, boring, swanky fart, was probably a gangster too.

Whatever, great voice and songs, timeless arrangements.
