Gimme Shelter All three Bay Area shows. Both Pac Bell shows and especially the Oakland show. Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!
01-07-03 10:23 PM
Sir Stonesalot See, this should be a testament to how uniformly great the tour has been thus far...no one has named any of the same shows.

Until now....Roseland.

But I'm biased.
01-08-03 05:50 AM
beer That's righ SS. But being bias is valid when you were at the show eh? The fuggin ultimate souvenier!!! I'd sell my soul to witness one more show..
01-08-03 11:19 AM
Jumping Jack Nashville
01-08-03 11:21 AM
nankerphelge I think the Philly FUC show was pretty awesome.
But so was Hartford.

Stadiums -- Giants and DC were both great

SS is right -- absolutely awesome tour!

01-08-03 11:28 AM
Nasty Habits Philly FUC was the best show I have ever seen the Stones play.
01-08-03 11:49 AM
Tom Giants was the best Stadium show so far, but I go for Roseland as the best (but I wasn't there)
01-08-03 10:46 PM
sly At first I thought ARAGON or Roseland. Then I heard the Wiltern boot. AWESOME! Especially Stray Cat and Beast. Oaklnad is a close second

glencar I can't believe no one has mentioned Vegas yet. No not the private birthday party for Bonderman or the Joint show that was on my own birthday but the show that closed the first half of the show at the MGM Graand. Loads of fun & nice guitars.
01-09-03 02:13 PM
jb Unquestionably Ft. lauderdale show....no other show comes close..even MSG 1st show was not that good.

Atlanta is the best boot quality by far. There are 2 different boots but the better version is the best I have ever heard.

United Center was awesome but the best show is always the
one you were at and that is how it should be
01-09-03 04:19 PM
jb The aragon boot is pretty bad quality..have not heard others.

Ya Aragon is average quality.

Aragon is a sore spot for me. I found out my "buddies"
at my local bar all got in free, one of the regulars
worked security and let 8 of them in a side door.

Did they fucking call me. Fuck no. Assholes.

JB do you want Atlanta? It is awesome quality.

01-09-03 04:38 PM
jb Tumbling Dice offerd me Atlanta...it's not soundboard however.....I really can't listen to audiemce recordings..very frustating..but thank you for offering.
01-09-03 08:26 PM
Ben Smith Wiltern-LA...Best show of my life! (And your right, listening to the boot it's even better than I remember- Stray Cat and THSML are literally scary- haven't ever seen Mick like that...

Runner up is Oakland- Best arena show so far (both set-list and performance, IMO...)

Scottfree Cleveland was far superior to Columbus.
01-10-03 02:50 AM
littleredrooster Best Club Aragon Ballroom
Best Arena Oakland Arena, MGM Grand (TIE)
Best Stadium Comiskey Park, Edison Field (TIE)

Honorable Mention:
Wiltern Theater
Staples Center
PAC BELL 1
PAC BELL 2
THE Joint at HRH
United Center

Yeah, you are biased to the shows that you have seen!
01-10-03 03:10 AM
Dan The Aragon I have is pristine. Most of these shows were taped by multiple sources.
01-10-03 09:07 PM
Gazza Of the four I've seen so far (MSG,Giants,Staples and Anaheim) I thought the best one of the four was Anaheim

Surprise choice because 1) its a stadium 2) I didnt have great seats and 3) it was the 4th show I'd seen in 4 weeks and usually its the first ones that really HIT you

Quite possibly the best stadium show I've ever seen them play

A close second on that list would be Madison Square Garden.

Best show I've HEARD from this tour so far : probably Roseland
01-10-03 09:21 PM
Paulcarr87 Well with the Stones I say bigger is better (or in this case longer). This will be extremely biased because its the only show I've seen (although I will be at the FleetCenter Sunday night), but I say you have to put the Gillette Stadium opening stadium show on the list of top shows, if for the only reason that they did a whopping 23 songs (about 2:20), the longest Stones show since the St Louis Pay Per View in 1997 - someone correct me if theres been a longer show since 97. Its the only 23 song show of the tour (perhaps MSG on HBO might reach 23)

Paul

steel driving hammer Comiskey Park - The Hottest Night of the Tour!

Fucking Neighbors B-Stage in Chicago, need I say more?

Home of Da Blues, home of Da Riff.

I'm sure other cities were rocking!

But in Chicago, it's something special.

The Band was on fire...
01-11-03 02:39 AM
marko but also,i could list these to my favorites now...

san diego
nashville,killer show
Pac bell 1&2,specially 1st frisco,,"one" of the best versions of midnight rambler!
01-11-03 02:48 AM
VoodooChileInWOnderl I agree with you Marko, I just received a first generation recording of Pacific Bell 1 (november 8) and Midnight Rambler really rocks, better than any No Security version, and listen everybody it was a Stadium Show, those shows that we hard core fans use to underrate.

I want Nashville 2002 because Nashville 1997 is becoming an impossible collector's item and also because you are rating it as one of the best!
