I'm of the opinion Keiths set is for the die hards only...
I think he knows it, and it's the one moment during a show when I feel it's all for me...
I know I'm not alone, but we're a small group!!!
I remember She Rat telling some guy to shut up in SF, who was trying to talk to her... It was fucking beautiful! |

Keith is my hero. His set has always been a special part in the show for me. To tell the truth, the Stones are my favorite band, but I'd much rather see a a Wino's show than a Stones show - MORE KEEF!
But this song just fucking sucks rotten eggs. It makes me cringe. Horrible right from that awful opening he plays.
to my dismay he has played it every night. I hope it gets dropped for MSG & Boston. At least for a night.
BY FAR the worst Keith song ever. Worst than Cant Be Seen, YDHTMI and that embarrassing JJF cover w/Aretha all rolled into one. |

Keef should play "Sure the one you need"!
His set became so predictable and boring with the years.
It s good to be here ...

infamy is ok, but i'm glad it's at the end of the album.
Someone here metioned it's sounds like a videogame
and i can't seem to forget about that when i listen to it.
pitfall, space invaders...? It does sound familiar. |

I said it months ago - INFAMY is a great great track that just gets better with time like so many of Keith's tunes.
I agree it's a tough one to pull off live, though bless him, he sure seems determined to do it.
Slippin is still one of the great all time live moments in all the 100s of shows I have seen from all acts in all places - - the kind of lyrics that clearly grow with Keith as the years go by...
Mick is the business machine for sure - and sells the tickets because he is the best showman/frontman ever - but lyric-wise, I think Keith's tunes are far superior than the Keith-Mick or Mick-solo tunes, with the possible exception of some Wandering Spirit tracks, one of the most underrated albums of its decade.
I would pay $5000 to see Keith play a club show.
---Don't think I would do the same for Mick.
Keith on a stool, guitar in hand, about 300 of us waiting for the show to start...
Yeah, I'm digging that. |
