JumpingKentFlash If you have anything Stones-related, that you are going to throw out, then WAIT!!!! DON'T THROW IT OUT. You can just send it to me. I take everything in. EVERYTHING. Not because I'm a freeloader, but because I don't have any money. And I need a fix of the Stones every now and again.

Anything at all will be much appreciated.

Mail me for my address. My e-mail is: [email protected]

Thanks in advance, and a Happy New Year to all.

LadyJane SAL...do tell us. As someone with so much inside information, what are the boys up to with regards to a new album and future touring plans? And what about the rumor that was circulating a while back that one of the Band needed surgery?

I'm NOT being sarcastic. You state that Pattie dislikes Jamaica because Keith is too busy there, you were backstage at Sarsfest, you have stated to me privately that you know the band, especially Keith, personally.

So....give us the scoop!! Even better...get one of the boys to become an RO regular.

LJ.

SHINE A LIGHT ok, well first where/when did you hear about this surgery??i've heard nothing of that....now i'm worried!

this is what i know:
- keith is staying in the islands until march-ish (he's writing songs there)
- i hear they will do a north/south american tour in 2004, starting in sept.
- i also hear that they will go into the studio,in paris, for a new studio album.

will they come on this site?? my guess is no, but their handlers will lurk.
01-02-04 10:33 AM
SHINE A LIGHT why are we doing this on THIS thread???isn't this the "gimme all your stuff" thread??
just askin'.

PS. LJ, i want to hear about this surgery thing you've heard. if you don't want to post it here ( and i don't think one should) , kindly pm me. thanks.

If were.......theres about 100 cdrs which i DON`T NEED!
So if yer interested, they could be yours.Btw,they all are
copied from my original boots,so all are bootlegs.Just shows

LadyJane In a hurry...so here's the scoop. A few months back there was a rumor circulating on all Boards that one of the Stones needed surgery. Those "in the know" would only reveal that the surgery was not life threatening but would sideline the band for 18 months. There was some speculation that Mick had polyps on his vocal chords. Haven't heard too much about in a quite a while. Hopefully it was only a rumor.

Thanks for the info SAL. Now if you can just set up a meeting between myself and Keith....we will be lifelong friends!!!

LJ.

glencar I have stuff that I can part with but I'd have to catalogue it first.
01-02-04 11:05 AM
SHINE A LIGHT thanks, LJ.....yes, the mick story!! ok, he's always under a watch on his vocals chords. yes, mick was spotted coming out of his specialist's office in london....when they played there on the licks' tour.

nothing more to it than the press saw him at a doctor's office......and of course, that leads to all kinds of "stuff".

LJ, thanks kindly, i now breathe easily!!

as for that meeting.....?????

Monkey Woman Mick was spotted going to a chiropractor in London this summer. Spokespeople for Mick said he had to do some adjustments to his back and get in shape for the shows.

Boomy "Do you have something you don't need??????"

All of my Stones records. Especially Sticky Fingers and Jump Back. They both have "Bitch" on them, and I'm not a big fan of the song, and because of this, I am no longer a Stones fan.

Geez, all of that money spent on records, t-shirts, keychains, concert tickets, and blinking tongues...all down the drain.

Please send me a PM for information.

MRD8 The band member in the surgery rumor was Ronnie, it was rumored before the Licks tour that he needed a liver transplant as was going to be replaced on the tour...the "speculation" took on a life of its own until Ronnie showed up looking fine at the May 7, 2002 press conference in New York loking none the worse for wear!
01-02-04 08:01 PM
SHINE A LIGHT the key word here is "RUMORS". yes, the ronnie thing is quite old. he's fine!!!!mick often requires his spine adjusted (have you ever seen him on stage??)mick's larynx is fine, too and keith is basking in the sun .

christijanus You seem to have enough money to be all the time on internet! It cost me lots of money to be on internet, but I don't complain. CAN YOU EXPLAIN THAT TO ME, AND PROBALY TO MORE ON THIS BOARD, BECAUSE I SEE YOUR BEGS ON ALL THE BOARDS I LOOK ON. May be just start buying the stuff like most of us did?

JumpingKentFlash I use a public computer, which is located in the library. I don't live very far from the library. Have you ever noticed that I almost never post in the early morning or late evening? That's because the library is closed my freind. When I do post in the morning and in the evening, it's because I'm home at my Father's place. But he lives 50km from where I live. I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY. I'm not a liar, so don't hassle me.

SHINE A LIGHT JKF, i've decided to leave this board to the "regulars" who are very hard on newer members. i was a bit hard on you at first, and for that i must say "i'm sorry", it was wrong of me.
they will be rough on you here, but maybe try to last for a while. i gave it my best shot, then i realised that it ain't worth the effort.
you say you need "stuff".....well, i do have an idea for you. there are "used books and music" stores everywhere. try them. i often take books, etc. to my local store like that.....i make a bit of money and someone else gets a great deal.
all the best to you here. please accept my apologies.
01-05-04 07:06 AM
JumpingKentFlash Thanks Shine A light. I think some people are pretty rude here sometimes. Apology accepted. Try www.stonesdoug.com or www.iorr.org
There is a board on these sites, and people are VERY kind over there. But don't worry about me. I can handle a little roughness.
01-05-04 08:41 AM
SHINE A LIGHT hey, flash thanks for accepting the apology.....however after thinking it over, i've decided to stay right here. as you say,i also can accept rudeness......one just has to understand the sources AND also be very aware that there are some people out there who seem to get their thrills by stirring up the shit-pot!!!! ya gotta just laugh at 'em.

Taptrick Perhaps your time would be better spent doing something other than surf at the library. I don't mean to sound harsh...just suggestive in the hopes it will help you get money to buy everything Stones related your heart desires. I work for the military and have a, shall we say "limited income". Even though I've been in love with the Stones since 1978 and saw the 81 tour...until 2003, I had zero boots and never saw a show again because of my financial situation and geographic responsibilities. However, I kept working and now my rank pays a little better and I took a second job at an ice rink to pay for the boots, concert, and computer. So I work 60-80 hours per week and go to school. As a mental health tech I would tell you to beware of pursuing instant gratification. It's a huge problem for most of society. If you can learn to delay gratification until you have worked and earned it, you will have given yourself a great benefit. If you learn to pursue instant gratification you will always be searching for a less functional answer to your daily problems.

"Yeah you oughta see, you oughta see, all the kids laugh... and they think I'm going crazy"

JumpingKentFlash To Taptrick.

I appreciate that you try to make me have a job. But I am waiting to go on to the university. Thanks anyway.
