TracyGene ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man or "Gimme All Your Loven".

I thought they were pretty good.Maybe I just liked the car.

The Rolling Stones "She Was Hot" is hilarious,"Undercover"

is probably better, but with "She Was Hot",it seemed the boys

had fun with that one.

mac_daddy waiting on a friend

(I could be cheap and suggest that some on this board would vote for Paris Hilton's amateur short, but that would be too easy)
01-01-04 04:00 PM
Gazza Series of dreams - Bob Dylan
Hurt - Johnny Cash

(I like these "word association"/retrospective style videos!)

Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Tear In My Beer - Hank Williams Jr and Hank Williams Sr.

Scottfree Paris Hilton's amateur short.......But I like pointing out the obvious....
01-01-04 05:55 PM
Mr. D I gotta go with "Sabotage". It's chaos the whole way through.
01-01-04 06:00 PM
Ten Thousand Motels I dunno. What about Cher's video with Beavis & Butthead?
01-01-04 06:13 PM
mac_daddy sabatoge is pretty sweet...

directed by Spike Jonze, who also did the classic Weezer "Buddy Holly" and the Nirvana/Brady Bunch videos. "Teen Spirit" (not directed by Jonez) is the landmark clip, however...

other grunge vids of note: Pearl Jam's "Alive" and "Even Flow" and Soundgargen's "Black Hole Sun." Gotta give it up for Alice's "Dem Bones" too...

_____

video that soured me on a band forever:

losing my religion - rem

not because of the message (I couldn't care less), but simply because it couldn't have sucked more - I dont care how many awards it won. Yeah, I think the song sucks, too (and I grew up on their IRS catalog)...

_____

if you are gonna mention the peppers, you gotta recognize "Give it Away" (even if it was directed by the guy who did the aforementioned REM vid)
_____

I still vote for Waiting on a Friend as the greatest ever, though...

unless of course we are talking long-form, in which case "Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones" wins easily. I do have a pro-shot video of KISS: January 31, 1975 that comes in a very close second, however...

finally - Love is Strong gets honorable mention.. I would love to see some computer/internet whiz mix that with Godzilla or some sh*t... Keith vs. King Kong, 'Zilla and the crew..? Hell yeah!!!

Wow! Good choice! I love that video. My votes are for that and "Hurt". And the promo film for "Jumpin' Jack Flash", if that counts as a video.

J.J.Flash Exile you bastard! GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN! HOW ARE YOU BRO?
Well, my vote goes for "Respectable", because of its RAWNESS. As I said once, new bands, new stuff definitely are not my fave, anyway, "Show me how to live" by Audioslave is good.

corgi37 The birth of my twins is the best video ever. Full frontal nudity, heaps of blood and gore, superb direction (by my). Only hassle is, i think my wife over reacted a bit. Some of her screams and swearing was just not convincing.
