Some Guy Has to be Emotional Rescue:

This is the album that hooked me in 1980. cranked at a party the other day and all I can say is damn this album is underrated. A true classic in every sense. And wasn't it they're largest selling studio album to date. She's so cold is too damn tough. Ruled the airwaves back in the day.

Soul Survivor I agree that Emotional Rescue is underrated

But I have to say 'Between The Buttons' is as well.

It DOES have the classics 'Let's Spend The Night Together' and 'Ruby Tuesday', but what about the other stuff.

She Smiled Sweetly, Miss Amanda Jones, All Sold Out, Connection, Cool Calm Collected

I love that album

glencar ER is a better album than the two mid-80s albums but that's damning with faint praise. Next: Sucking In The Seventies - What Does The Title Signify?

Yyteri Beach Yep,
Emotional Rescue is marvelous album. I have always loved it.
Every album has good songs and bad songs (like Indian Girl in Rescue) but all in all this is a good album...

Boomy, funny you mentioned "Powerage"...I just bought the remastered disc two days ago. To me, that's the band at it's peak. Period. Also got "Bonfire", and highly recommend that mother too...

12-30-03 03:58 PM
Boomy Joey, I actually have grown to love "Face Dances". I can't believe I treated it like a bomb before.

Since I'm not much of a Stones fan, I would say that the Who are my favorite now.

But Joey...I don't really like "Cache Cache" that much. Does that mean that I am not a fan?

Joey " Joey, I actually have grown to love "Face Dances". I can't believe I treated it like a bomb before. "

Boomy ...........................you are a very wise young Man .

There have always been the following :

The Beatles
The Stones
The Who

......all others pale in comparison .

It is my sincere belief that the music of these three groups will be a million times more popular fifty years from now .

What does this have to do with the " Face Dances " album or the Stones for that matter ?!?!?!?!

Hell if I know --- Give me time

Jacky !
12-30-03 06:38 PM
Some Guy Joey thats a bold but possibly true statement
12-30-03 06:50 PM
TheSavageYoungXyzzy Well, I listened to Face Dances again.

I still hold that It's Hard is a better album, but that's not saying much, because both of them aren't great.

They're both still better than that travesty that is Who Are You.

On the other hand, The Who By Numbers remains fantastic.

No matter however much you booze, Petey, the horse tranqs aren't the way out!

Oh, and I got the Isle of Wight DVD last night with money made returning duplicate stuff. Edited but still awesome.

-tSYX --- Tommy can you hear me?

Zack Most underrated are SMR and . . . Bridges to Babylon. It's the Rodney Dangerfield of Stones albums.
