Topic: Which song is better- Winter or Moonlight Mile Return to archive
January 4th, 2005 07:29 PM
time is on my side I love these two songs but I can never make up my mind which song is better. They are very similiar and, if I not mistaken, have very rarely been played live (Moonlight Mile during the No Security Tour and Winter I believe has never been played live). While have a ton of songs that I like (after all that's why they are the greatest rock and roll band of all time), these are my two favorite ballads. So which song do you like better, Winter or Moonlight Mile????

Oh man, I hate to say it and I want to let everyone know I am definately not making this choice to be different but in my opinion I think Winter is.
Goats Head as I have said many times before on this board is my personal very favorite Stones album. I realize it is not the most commercial, I realize it may not distinguish the Stones at their truest raw sound, and I realize it doesn't produce as many favorites or hits as some others....but it has always been my favorite. Is it their very best? Well no. But it has always had a special spot for me. Actually I like Can you hear the Music better than Moonlight as well.

Jumping Jack Moonlight Mile. Better than Sway as well, but even not in the top 5 songs on SF, the all time best Stones album.

Brown Sugar
Bitch
CYHMK
Wild Horses
Dead Flowers

Zeeta Winter!

Just because of Micky T's solo which blows my mind every time I hear it. Winter brings me to tears, yet Moonlight Mile is too slow and just not as good in my exquisite opinion!
Why am I the only one to go for Winter ! Who cares I love it!

luxury1 what the hell ever happened to our poster, Winter, anyway??
wonder if he still checks in.

Good question about the songs. I guess it depends on my mood. I truly love both. Especially Mick leaving in the deep wet inhale on Winter.
