Marianne's Keith-Mick Love Triangle
Rocker Marianne Faithfull preferred Keith Richards to boyfriend Mick Jagger, she has confessed.
And the rock chick admitted she only dated Mick because Keith TOLD her to.
The 57-year-old singer also regrets that her one-night stand with the Rolling Stones guitarist did not go any further.
Marianne, who dated Mick for five years, said: "Keith thought that it would be good for the band if I dated Jagger.
"Instead of saying, 'But I love you', I said 'OK.'"
She added: "I didn't really love Mick. I was just obeying Keith."
But she praised the Rolling Stones' frontman for "always being good to her".
Marianne, who was the inspiration behind Stone's track Angie, is still friendly with the Jumpin' Jack Flash singer - and even catches his gigs.
She said: "I see him if we're in the same town. I'll go to the show, I'll get the best seats in the house and I'd go backstage and see them all.
"He's great, Mick, and I'm very fond of him, he was very, very good to me, and I would be a real c*** if I felt anything else.
"But it was so long ago, and things have changed - we've all moved on."
Marianne's convent education belied a wild side which led to her becoming hooked on drugs.
She was regularly pictured with actress Anita Pallenburg - with whom Keith has two children.
