glencar Anybody ever jump in the water on this cold day? I shriveled up (!) but it was so much fun I went in twice & we raised $1000 for Leukemia Society. The water temp was 42 degress.

Nice work raising money for such a good cause.

lotsajizz I go into the waters at Mackarel Cove in Jamestown, RI every January 1st since 1978. It was warm today--36 degrees F and mostly sunny when I went in. Water temp was about 44 F.

glencar Yes, SV, I did it at a beach on the Sound. It was overcast at first but by the time we were leaving, you could see CT. I had always wanted to do it & this year was my 1st chance. I'm definitely doing it next year.

You're probably a nice guy in real life. I wish it was reflected on the board.
