Brian was gorgeous.....no doubt about that.I love the piccy in his bath robe....those blue eyes,soft lisping well educated voice and flaxen blond hair could charm anything.I'm sure he used it to his advantage many a time.( I think most of us on this thread would have let him!!)
How long have you all been into Brian? I remember reading about him in the early 80's and then asking my mother how she felt when he died.Typically she said she couldn't recall much but bought me some videos of 'Ready Steady Go'. I was enthralled by him from then on.I have been to Cheltenham to pay my respects to the grave a couple of times.
How did you rate Leo Gregory in Stoned? I think he was too 'blokey' physically and lacked the feminine quality Brian had.That's just my opinion though.

My dad is 1 year younger and my mum is the same age like Brian was. She recall the day when Brian died well ...
she was 2 month pregnant with me and my dad laying in a hospital because of a heart attack...she remember walking through the streets after visit my dad...feeling desperate, stare at a newspaper and read in big letters "Brian Jones death"...she burst into tears and run to the next church, crying and praying...
...as she returned to the hospital, my dad opened his eyes...

I was 16...almost 17...when I heard that Brian died. It was
the same day as my boyfriend's birthday, and when he
called me on the phone {we were hundreds of miles apart
at the time}, I could only say "Brian Jones died on your
birthday."
I'm a YOUNG 55 now, and I've loved Brian since before time
began, I think. Well, at least since I first saw his
face in very early '64.... |

Brian died 2 days before I turned 20 years old. My birthday
is July 4th. I was devastated and did not understand it at
all. I became even more devastated when I read my first
Stones book Up and Down with The Rolling Stones by Tony
Sanchez. It did not add up right at all, made no sense to
me and showed lack of concern for Brian especially on the
part of the Nurse Janet Lawson who should have stayed back
with Brian but she must have been intimidated to leave him
there for Frank to kill him!! With his Asthma and his
drinking or taking whatever meds he should have never been
left alone even if Frank did not plan to murder him.
The picture of Brian trimming his bangs (fringes in the UK)
was taken by Ian "Stu" Stewart. It should be in his book.
Yes the picture is extremely sexy and delightful. |

I smoke too, I smoke Virginia Slims Menthol Lights 120's
in a box, I get them in a carton every week. Expensive but
those cheaper cigarettes taste TERRIBLE!!I will smoke a few
before I go to bed. Thanks for the info on the hearts BB!!

LOL. I am a cancer survivor and I try to do everything I can to make sure I never go through that again....

I started when I was about 17 smoking. My Dad started earlier
and quit when he was about 75. He lived to be 83 like his
other family members. He smoked Winston and I tried them
and kept at it which was really stupid and now I am hooked!
I try not to smoke any more than I really have to, only
when I get a Nicotine Fit. I have cut down quite a bit and
hopefully soon I can quit. Dad quit Cold Turkey and I know
that was really hard to do. But I don't drink anymore so
1 out of 2 Vices is a step in the right direction. Brian
used to smoke Kents and I tried one and there is hardly
any taste.
