Ten Thousand Motels Happy New Year!

It won't hurt when I fall down from this bar stool
And it won't hurt when I stumble in the street
It won't hurt 'cause this whiskey eases misery
But even whiskey cannot ease your hurting me

Today I had another bout with sorrow
You know this time I almost won
If this bottle would just hold out 'til tomorrow
I know that I'd have sorrow on the run

Chorus:
It won't hurt when I fall down from this bar stool
And it won't hurt when I stumble in the street
It won't hurt 'cause this whiskey eases misery
But even whiskey cannot ease your hurting me

Your memory comes back up with each sunrise
I reach out for the bottle and find it's gone
Yeah, Lord, somewhere every night the whiskey leave me
To face this cold, cold world on my own

Chorus:
It won't hurt when I fall down from this bar stool
And it won't hurt when I stumble in the street
It won't hurt 'cause this whiskey eases misery
But even whiskey cannot ease your hurting me

sirmoonie Tonight - Boston swillage! I've never seriously swilled in Boston, but I assume its a lot like this.

Then I'm going to make a list of people who can't drink, and e-mail it around. If you don't receive it, well then your name is on the list. You have to live with your drinking abilities or lack thereof, it really the only way this works.

Dan I am going to my mom's right after work tonight. I think I left some jager there last time. And there is always beer in the fridge. I will mostly sit on my ass on the couch and watch all my new music DVDs but I might find the time and brilliant insight to make the occassional drunken post.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Tonight is rum with diet coke

Well my daddy never drank no whiskey
He never wet his liver with gin
My momma said she loved nobody else
But she really loved the drinking man

Respectable though my daddy was
Until he heard of mama's sin
He drank every drop of liquor in this place
And we never saw my daddy again

Because everybody loves a drinking man
Everybody loves a drinking man

Well my uncle was a real good talker
He'd talk the beak off a myna bird
Until someone dropped a glass of whiskey in his hand
He never said another word

Because everybody loves a drinking man
Everybody loves a drinking man

So understand that people will judge you
On your good and not your words
So if you're looking for a favor or two
You may likely die of thirst

Because everybody loves a drinking man
Everybody loves a drinking man
Everybody loves a drinking man
Everybody loves a drinking man

I remain hootch-less. Hootch-less in an airport - oxymoronicalism, I would have thought.....until today.

Merry Christmas to you too.

Dan I am at the family homestead with Bud Light and Jager. Cable went from 200 to 400ish channels since I was last year and there is absolutely nothing to watch except Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls later. I was hoping to see "A Christmas Story" but it ain't happening.

MrPleasant "I'm glad I'm an alcoholic. Oh yes, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Obviously, I'm sorry for the hurt I caused people ... but being an alcoholic was an amazing and powerful experience. There were some days when I'd drink a bottle of tequila and I didn't care if I died. I was so washed up, so empty and feeling emotionally bankrupt. I used to love tequila." (Sir Anthony Hopkins)
