crb69 The Live Aid DVD is good. I still have some of the original taped on VHS from that day; 7-13-85. A must have if you're into most of the bands back then. My personal favs: Mick Jagger (of course), Queen, U2 (when they were still hungry talented artists), David Bowie, The Who (excellent even though they screwed up the song), George Thorogood, Dire Straits, Dylan/Keef & Ronnie (OK, not great), Beach Boys, Sabbath, Judas Priest, Madonna was hot then too...I watched Led Zep's performance off the VHS the other day and was reminded why Page & Plant wouldn't let them release it on the DVD. Plant was shot & Page must have been wasted. I've heard sloppy Zep boots before but never heard Jimmy screw up Stairway's solo that bad...ever! Amazing how a band can lose it after 5 or so years of not playing together.

All in all the DVD set is well worth the 40 bucks and goes to a good cause...Asia will need some $$$ (relief) now I'm sure...I'm all for another charity festival. Rock On!

Flairville I got it for Christmas and it's great. I've still got my dad's original copy but i've worn it out over the years. Can't recommend it enough. There's a great never seen before extra of BB King singing a medley that includes, Rock me baby. It's for a great cause too.
