corgi37 It's such a hard thing. What do you leave off? How many songs do you go for? Do you keep touch with ANY reality?

Ok, here's mine, using a bit of hoping, bit of common sense, and bit of prayer. I'll go for 20 songs, plus triple encore.

1. One Hit
2. Heartbreaker
3. Bitch
4. Stray cat blues
5. Faraway Eyes
6. Soul Survivor
7. Sway
8. Time waits for no one (Lets see if Ronnie knows his scales)
9. Long long while
10. Fool to cry (provided there is some cool & hard blues licks)
11. Undercover
12. happy
13. little T&A or before they make me run
14. Love is strong (to warm up the harp for the next track)
15. Midnight Rambler
16. Brown sugar (Aw shucks, ya gotta have it)
17. Start me up (ditto)
18. Rocks off
19. Satisfaction (shortened, fuck off the trumpets, and turn up the fuzz box)
20. Jumping jack flash

Encore:

come on
YCAGWYW
We love you

NOTE:
HTW - dumped - unless it is cut by about 2 minutes and sounds more like the single, and Chuck doesnt kick the keyboard.
Sreet fighting man - Just dumped
Miss you - Included only if time cut in 1/2 and sounds more like 81 shows.
Sympathy - Cut - Unless the disco version they have done since 89 is over-fucking-hauled.
Tumbing dice - love it, but give it a rest.
IORR - I just dont like it, and less so live.
Monkey Man - dumped - They just cant do it live.
Gimme Shelter - Dumped - Too fucking slow, pondering and soul less lately.

And, no bloody "B" stages. Just more ramps. Maybe even some nifty hydraulic ones.

More witty Jagger comments between songs.

Snazzy light show.

Inflateable dick (for old times sake)

Yep, i'd pay $500 for that.

Gimme Shelter The one I posted was sort of based on reality. I tried to add some stuff they have never played live and some stuff they have not played live in awhile, plus some hits. Here would be my fantasy setlist in terms of personel favorites.

2. Bitch
3. Paint It Black
4. Jivin’ Sister Fanny
5. I Don’t Know Why
6. Tumbling Dice
7. Sittin’ On a Fence
8. Down the Road Apiece
9. Out of Time
10. Moonlight Mile
11. Undercover of the Night
12. You Got the Silver
13. Little T&A
14. Before They Make Me Run
15. One Hit To the Body
16. Dandelion

J.J.Flash Not in a specific order:

1- Crazy Mama
2- You Got Me Rockin'
3- Coming Down Again (Keith)
4- The Worst (Keith)
5- Stop Breaking Down (with Taylor as a guest)
6- Midnight Rambler
7- Can't You Hear Me Knockin' (with Taylor and Ronnie playing each one a guitar solo and Keith showing why he is the RIFFMASTER, playing with a Les Paul)
8- Bye Bye Johnny (with a Keith playing like circa 72/73)
9- Beast of Burden (Mick and Keith sharing vocals)
10- Dead Flowers (Mick and Keith sharing vocals)
11- Under My Thumb
12- 2000 Man
13- Jumpin' Jack Flash
14- Little T&A (a wild Keith like on Hampton)
15- Jiving Sister Fanny (you could say this one really belongs to a fantasy setlist for sure)
16- 999 (with Waddy, really fantasy setlist don't you think?)
17- Heartbreaker (this time Keith really turn up his guitar and hit the chords with anger, Billy Preston with his clavinet instead of Chuck)
18- Parachute Woman (Keith playing like on R'n'R circus)
19- Fool to Cry
20- Where the boys go
21- The Spider and The Fly
22- Gimme Shelter
23- Street Fighting Man

Detail: NO backing vocals, except for Keith and Ronnie

voodoopug Keith showing why he is the RIFFMASTER, playing with a Les Paul)

Oh lord, please no. That riff is played in open tuning and would sound awful on a les paul. Keefs open tuning riffs belong on the 52 telecaster.
December 28th, 2004 02:49 PM
J.J.Flash But I didn't mean Keith playing on a Les Paul with Standard Tuning. I meant Keith playing with Les Paul with Open G Tuning. That's all Pug

gorda I think the Stones should do a show just for us ladies.

And, it should be unplugged and they should play romantic ballads like Wild Horses, Angie, Love In Vain, BackStreet Girl, Sittin' On a Fence, Lady Jane, Out of Tears and Always Suffering.

Plus, they should wear tuxedos and slick back their hair with gel.

Just because it's a rock and roll band doesn't mean they can't be romantic sometimes.

And, that is why it should only be for the laidies, I mean ladies.

P.S. In Video Rewind, I love how during Angie, they all have roses in their guitars. I think they should do that for this show too.

Soldatti All Exile, Rocks Off opening the show, Band Introductions after Loving Cup, Keith doing Happy, and closing the 18 songs set Soul Survivor.
I will sell my house for that show...
December 30th, 2004 07:26 AM
corgi37 I STILL cant get Soul Survivor out of my head. Must be about 6 months now. I dont know how on earth i never particularly liked it. Its the same riff as Rock and a hard place, so i cant see why they cant do it live.

And, come on. Jiving sister fanny! Yeah, i'll dig up of Grandma and take her along if they ever play that!
December 30th, 2004 07:38 AM
J.J.Flash What about the instrumental "Potted Shrimp"?

Because the song is very good, catchy and dirty at the same time.
