HandofFeet I remember reading an article last year that counted the #1's of all the major groups (to see how they would rate against Beatles' 1).

I think they ended up with 15 for the Stones, combining both US and UK #1's. (Looks like they missed one, according to Gazza).

They thought the number surprisingly lower than expected, but pointed out how some of the Stones' biggest hits, (such as Start Me Up only reaching number 2), peaked a few slots shy of the top.

Gazza merci beaucoup Jean-Pierre

I got my info from Felix Aeppli's "Ultimate Guide" and it gives the chart position as #1.....I presume its a typing error, because #11 would make more sense...

This was their first US album release (May 1964) and as we all know that first US tour wasnt exactly a huge success!

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board.
The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
