glencar I was watching the "Extras" Christmas special & Ricky Gervais is in an upmarket restaurant at the crest of his fame when he mentions that Jade Jagger is at a nearby table. His dowdy friend asks what she's famous for & Ricky says she's a designer. Then his dowdy friend asks how she got that job. Ricky rolls his eyes. Pretty funny scene.

72Tele The special was great. Funny and deep. Helps to have a DVR to quickly rewind when you cant understand the English slang. I hope Ricky does something else soon because he is 2 for 2 in my book.

Its interesting how Ricky doesn't drive a series into the ground like we do here in the U.S.. 12 episodes and 1 special and done. Basically the same with The Office. Leave them wanting more.

I am finding myself enjoying the American Version just as much as the British version. WHen I first watched the US version, I didnt think it held a candle to the original, but I went back and watched the first season while traveling the last few weeks and was impressed as to how well it held up.

texile i haven't brought myself to watch the AMerican version of the office because gervais is so good - i can't imagine anyone doing justice to the show's premise.
extras is even better -
haven't seen the one that mentions jade, but gervais is a fucking genius.

I do not understand, why did he roll his eyes? How did that fit into his explaining Jade's profile in the design industry? After all aeronautical design is a spirited business.
