FotiniD LJ, may I say that's some serious posting baby!

Merry Christmas you crazy people. Have a blast with whichever way you like, eat lots of chocolate, drink lots of wine, enjoy your loved ones.

And here's to hoping 2008 is going to be a GREAT year without any bad feelings at all. I think we all need it.

Jaggedblues Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year. But is it really? It's the most expensive month of the year and it's the most stressful month of the year. Strike one and strike two. I really like the Christmas lights though, they are very colorful and very comforting.

It took me 90 minutes the other day though to prepare all my Christmas cards. That seems excessive. I get tired of all the demands on my time. And then there's the whole mad rush of Christmas shopping thing which I still haven't started yet BTW. Sigh. Yeah, I know, I suck.

But I'm trying to be festive. Hell, on Tuesday night I watched It's A Wonderful Life for the first time in 20 years so it was almost like seeing it for the first time since I couldn't remember anything about it. It was timely because I've been on a Frank Capra kick lately plus it is a holiday movie. But it was depressing though because I know what it's like to be George Bailey on the bridge. Damn that Capra can make a movie though, one of the greatest directors to ever walk the earth. Frank Capra is the Rolling Stones of filmmakers. Did I just say that? Well maybe he's not but he's upper echelon all the way.

Oh crap. Then there's the thought that I may have to drive an hour and a half to my mom's house on Tuesday, that doesn't appeal. Why did I have to be "blessed" with such a dysfunctional family? I'd rather just blare the Stones and drink wine on Christmas. Wouldn't you?

I'm not a total scrooge, Christmas certainly has its charms but why can't it be like leap year, you know, so that we could skip it every 4 years, that would definitely make it easier. Those of you addicted to procrastination and adverse to stress and shopping and who belong to annoying families know what I'm talking about. Anyway, thanks for listening. What I guess I'm trying to say is Merry freaking Christmas, y'all. Jaggedblues loves you.
