Indeed, it also says royalties are paid whenever anyone listens to the streaming content as well.

LuvGlimmerTwins Can someone explain to me about the file extensions in the
Sheffield 2006 torrent? They are all either .jpg or .mpg.

Thanks in advance for any advice forthcoming--

It strikes me that if the downloads are being sold on WV (when I checked last, it was stream only for the Stones shows) that would make them official releases, since Wolfgang's Vault owns the rights to the KBFH tapes & therefore the exclusive right to distribute. Don't want to be the one who pees in the cheerios, but it is a potential legal issue.

They aren't selling any Stones shows, as of yet, but aren't we always dancing on the edge of legality with our thing?

November 22, 1981 - COMPLETE SHOW

I think the original seeder "werther2003" didn't know how to announce a new torrent here, that's why I'm announcing it, but I'm not the original seeder.

This torrent was previously shared on DIME without "Mannish Boy". Later, DIME Mod "nightshifted" allowed this song, but it was too late, the torrent was already running. So here is the complete torrent with "Mannish Boy"

#1915233 by nightshifted at 2007-07-13 16:44:55 GMT
.... we did look into it and Erwe decided that the small amount of "Mannish Boy" would not be a problem and we can allow it.

No, .rar files are archive files. it has nothing to do with whether the files in the archive are lossy or not.

Well I certianly don't ubderstand that.
accordiny to this site http://filext.com/file-extension/rar
it's full name is this "WinRAR Compressed Archive "
Here's another link http://www.rarlab.com/

I went through this when I downloaded something from dime with the .rar extension. I said what the heck is this? So I reserached it and found out .rar compresses the files thus looses some info like MP3. Look at the files with spectuural analisis. (I know that's mis=spelled, sorry)
This is dime's rule "No torrent may contain compressed archive files, e.g. .RAR, .ZIP, .GZ."

Thanks Mike

That's correct. It is a compressed archive, but whether or not the files inside the .rar file are lossy or not depends on 1. how they were archived, and 2. the file type. .wav files do not compress or reduce in size when archived as .rar, and do not lose any data. Generally .rar will not lose data from FLAC either, but FLAC is also a compressed file, so I can't see why anyone would archive an archive.

icetea I know this may be off topic but:

I must state that the Stones number "Satisfaction" is a momemtum KILLER in over 90% of all or any Stones show I have ever seen, heard, or saw on video. Think about this. Yes they are the number one band that has ever toured. Satisfaction is consistently butchered though, on nearly every show, because they play it every show. No other "warhorse" is such a task to listen to. It's true. I prefer the original version only, but NO other. They should dump this number or go back to pure basic. I have just now watched the HBO rehearsals from '03 and this show totally rocked until "Satisfaction", which was followed by an equally dismal "IORR".

Think about this. Maybe this song WILL be dumped.

I hear you..but dumped?...not a chance..its their signature tune...the one most casual fans must hear regardless of performance...and yes I think we are off topic...

Hi All,

Sorry for the double post guys, I think I put the original post in the wrong spot. I'm curious if it would be possible to get a couple seeders for the "Fathers And Son's DVD" on the Rocks Off Tracker. Currently 4 leechers, 0 seeders.

Or, if someone has the DVD and is interested in a trade, please contact me at [email protected] and I'll shoot you my lists. I have plenty to offer in return.

Cheers,

Jon

Currently 7 leechers and 0 seeders. Is there no one here who downloaded this DVD willing to help out with a seed?

stickitup New on the tracker: Rolling Stones - Start Me Up, I'll Go Crazy (Werchter 2007) from Danish TV

2 live songs from Werchter 5th June 2007 as broadcast by Danish TV. Start Me Up & I'll Go Crazy. Recording is a DVB capture.

You might have to save the torrent file on the desktop and then open it with your prefered torrent program, since the .mpg.torrent in the filename confuses windows!

That should really be taken down.
Download Let It Bleed Documentary DVD-2 (NTSC) instead.
It's the same as the others (they are ALL NTSC).
