Luckily, some shows are announced by Rattlesnake : Werchter, Nijmegen and Paris.
I am looking forward for those !!! |

to whoever is uploading the keith and mick solo video's,
you are only getting the txt files uploaded. looks like when you make the torrent you need to "make torrent of FOLDER", not make torrent of FILE
if you need help a lot of us here can help. It's a little tricky till you get it right once
thank for trying
P.S. You also need to announce it here on this page when you upload it to the tracker

Many thanks for your work and for sharing it.
Maybe you should include in the torrent's description that this is a lossy recording.
Many thanks,

Comments:
The dates on the artwork are wrong!
Here are the correct dates:
Cd 1=Honolulu 22.1.73 1st Show
Cd 2=Honolulu 21.1.73
Honolulu 1/22/73 1st show; 71 min; 7.5 s;
Above average audience recording which has been available since the mid '70s.
Good performance. Available incomplete on LP, CD is complete, similar
quality.
Honolulu 1/21/73; 77 min; 7.5 s;
Another above average recording which first surfaced in 1992. There are
several CDs in roughly the same quality though the listed title is said to be
the best; some CDs miss "Street Fighting Man" due to the length of the show. |

Isn't that one of the Sydney '73 shows? Either 2/26 or 2/27/73. I'd have to look it up to see for sure. |

No, .rar files are archive files. it has nothing to do with whether the files in the archive are lossy or not. |

Thanks for your efforts, midnrambler, but the Wolfgang's Vaults recordings are lossy, as you've noted in your description. There is already a lossless version of this show on the tracker here:

Just to add my 2 cents. I understand the reasons for keeping the tracker lossless, but the lossless version of this show as well as the other Pontiac show are vastly inferior to the WV streams in that they are basically unmixed mono soundboards, where the WV streams are in FM quality stereo. I am of the opinion that in a case like this, where no lossless source of the FM exists, the stream capture should be acceptable as long as it was captured as a .wav file and not converted to lossy format after the original capture and the torrent is identified as being lossy in the title. I realize this was the topic of much debate last month or so, and I am somewhat of a newcomer to this scene, but I can't see it being an issue except in the case of these WV streams. FWIW; I have heard that WV may be offering lossless downloads at some point, so hopefully when and if that happens, this will all become irrelevant. |

Yeah, I found out the hard way when I ripped and uploaded one of those shows a couple of months ago...lol. I'm fairly new to all this stuff myself. The shows are available for download now from Wolfgang's Vault for $10 each. |
|
tookthatname |
to add my 3 cents (hey ain't this board non-profit?)
I thought this was all hashed out a month or so ago and if you wanted to put a lossy torrent up you were supposed to send a copy or a sample to gazza, charlotte, voodoo etc. and wait for approval. If they determine it sounds better and approve it then you can post it.
tookthatname
P.S. thanks for all the torrents midnite. I don't wanna come off as ungrateful! |

It strikes me that if the downloads are being sold on WV (when I checked last, it was stream only for the Stones shows) that would make them official releases, since Wolfgang's Vault owns the rights to the KBFH tapes & therefore the exclusive right to distribute. Don't want to be the one who pees in the cheerios, but it is a potential legal issue. |
