Sir Stonesalot I love you Martha. I hope things brighten up for you soon.

You were getting one of these anyhow, my dear. But I'm glad you chimed in.

2006 has got to be better....right?
December 25th, 2005 01:50 PM
Martha If 2006 is worse than 2005 (the only thing that was better was all the music I got to see this year) I ain't gonna make it. It's that bad. Fuck.

I love you too. :-)

December 25th, 2005 02:17 PM
LadyJane Martha...I just tried to call you but got no answer.

Please hang on tight....you are NOT alone.

I'm leaving soon to visit my Parents and then do the "family" thing.....I need to be around little ones. That always helps.

I'll call again.

And don't forget YOU got SWAY!!!!!! And I know they played it JUST FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

xx00
LJ.

OH...JB...Santa brought me the "enhanced" version of ABB!!! Add ONE more to the pathetic sales figures. LOL.
December 25th, 2005 02:51 PM
Sir Stonesalot LOL!

My parents bought me both the enhanced ABB and Rarities.

I didn't have the heart to tell 'em that I wasn't interested.

Ahh. I'll keep 'em. I may never open 'em, but I'll keep 'em.

They also gave me some $$$ for the {{{{Summit of the CENTURY!!!}}}}...now THAT I have use for.
December 25th, 2005 03:00 PM
LadyJane I may have Rarities before the day is over.

Sad isn't it....we are rolling our eyes over Stones products.

I do like my RS Calendar and Expensive Winos DVD though.

I'm outta here.

LJ.

Joey Merry Christmas Everyone from Sun City West , AZ

It is Eighty One Degrees Outside and what am I doing ?!?!

Getting Ready to eat Turkey Dinner

Bye Bye .....

Bye Bons ......

W- W- W- What ?!?!

" 24 December 2005

I will go on tour ......

"As it seems everyone in the world is already making announcements about a forthcoming Who tour I figured I should make my own statement.

I have said many times, repeated up until a few days ago, that I am reticent about committing to a tour without a completed new Who album under my belt.

As things stand I am still pushing to produce some more songs. So the announcement may seem premature. It is not.

I certainly don't give a flying f**k whether anything I write is a hit, or will get played on my beloved rock radio, or sell a million - or might not fit because it sounds like a Broadway tune, or as though I've 'stolen' Tom Waits voice (exactly how does one steal a voice that was already on loan from someone as esteemed as Louis Armstrong or Earl Hines? God knows how Tom feels about the idea I've stolen his voice.)

What I care about is that Roger Daltrey feels comfortable with the songs I write so he can sing a few of them on stage - while I lunge around looking gorgeous and playing show-off guitar like a kid in a music shop. After forty-five years of this crap I've just started to enjoy it.

So why the sudden announcements?

Who manager Bill Curbishley has come up with a great scheme that may circumvent the need for a CD full of Green Day and White Stripes impersonations. No, it is not an 'EP'. It is a truly inspired idea. I'll let his agents pass you the news when they have it polished like a new Pimp-My-Ride Hummer.

What his brilliant idea means is that if I don't have a full thirty tracks ready to go, we can settle on what I do have. So I can commit.

There has been a footnote to the articles I've read that suggest that my girlfriend Rachel Fuller may be opening some Who shows. She probably won't. If we are going to be nepotistic I would like to invite my brother Simon's band CASBAH CLUB. I saw them recently in London and they are intense: Who fans would love them.

Rachel is planning touring versions of IN THE ATTIC and BASEMENT JAM, her hugely popular webcast talk and music shows. This not necessarily modest circus would follow the Who's own FAT CHANCE calvacade. I'm sure she'll play some regular club dates along the way too. I hope Roger and I will be able to drop in on some of those too. It would be great to keep this tour flexible, dangerous, exciting, innovative and accessible as well as providing high-end rock shows for those of us who like pretty lights and songs we already know.

I have high hopes for the whole tour to be shared to a wide audience at home in a mixture of PAY FOR VIEW and FREE special webcasts. Some of the proceeds will go to charity of course.

I also have a very, very cool surprise to announce in June, just before the tour kicks off.

Now leave me the f**k alone while I help support my son while he gets through his exams."

Well, I gotta say, you're right LJ. You certainly can't argue with them facts and figures.

I needed that reminder. :-)

Martha Heard about the WHO tour Joey....I read about it in the King Kong RS issue. I see Pino and Zak are back in the saddle! Thought of you immediately and see you got your Christmas present from Santa Townsend this year. :-)

Why though are you baking like a turkey in AZ? Is it a necessary ritual you must keep yourself to? Is it helping your bowels?

xxxxoooo,

PS My underware drawer needs a "gift" anyday now.
December 25th, 2005 10:10 PM
Trey Krimsin SS, I'd like a copy as well. Unfortunately, I won't be at the Summit, so hand delivery is out of the question. I'm sending a PM now.
December 25th, 2005 11:02 PM
Sir Stonesalot This is really cool. I got a buttload of PMs.

I know that no one will like EVERY song...but I think most ANYONE can find a few songs that they dig. And the price is right, yeah?

So if I can turn some folks on to something that they otherwise might have missed...then it's all worth while.

I mean, really, what's this whole thing gonna cost me? Even with overseas mailing, ink, paper, CDRs...I MIGHT get $20.00 invested in the venture. That ain't no big deal. Rocks Off is worth it.
