Coming Down Again Rough Justice was a fantastic opener.
I mean, to put it into context, I was at my dream concert and I had stayed up drinking in the line all night and felt like a complete bag of shit until the second the Stones hit the stage...*deep breath*...It was a fantastic, high energy opener. I knew the song already so I suppose that helped. It may be anti-climactic to open with a song that a high percentage of the stadium crowd wouldn't know. For the "true" Stones fan it's a fantastic start...and a lot less predicatable than Start Me Up.

BILL PERKS THE SONG IS FAN FUCKING TASTIC-IF THIS WERE 1981 IT WOULD BE A TOP 5 SMASH
December 23rd, 2005 09:29 PM
glencar Radio has changed & it's only hurt the Stones. Deeply.

Am I the only one who s thinking "Get up stand up " is dreadful??
The guitarist seems to sleep during this one. They should play it faster IMHFO. the sing-a-long part is also boring as hell.
Anyway that s quite a good set list!
December 24th, 2005 12:19 PM
glencar Get Up Stand up was fun in concert the first time but it doesn't hold up to multiple viewings.

Zanck*Zanck*Zanck Re/Alice' S.M.U.~

What is wrong with him? lol that was the most awful muzak version of anything I've ever heard from him .Was this some sort of intentional joke that I missed?...and those Keyboards Chuck Leavell is laughing in horror.

blackandblue Of course! Hopefully they'll open their European shows with Rough Justice.
December 25th, 2005 02:20 PM
Soldatti RJ is a great opener, actually it was the opener on the club show and one of the first times that they opened a concert with a new song.
December 25th, 2005 03:16 PM
Sir Stonesalot Yeah, I think this one could work as an opener.

It would certainly force Woody into the game a lot quicker than normal. So that would be a good thing.

Of all the new songs, I think the Stones hit this one the best when played live. It's not my fave song in the Stones catalogue, but yeah...this'll do.
December 26th, 2005 07:51 AM
J.J.Flash imhFo, RJ would be the best opener.......

hey, thanks for the Alice picture, love him......

btw, his last album, "Dirty Diamonds" is a great, mean, raw, nasty, dirty, overdrived R'n'R album, among the TOP 3 of 2005 released titles.

As for Rough Justice, it sounds a lot like a Rip Off of a song in Alice's "Dirty Diamonds", the main riff.

"Jay's fave Ronnie"
December 26th, 2005 08:20 AM
blackandblue I hope Mick and Keith don't forget to ask Sir Stonesalot permission to open with RJ.
December 26th, 2005 01:33 PM
Sir Stonesalot If the Stones would ever actually listen to any advice that I'd give them...you'd all be a lot happier.

And that is a fact Jack.
