December 21st, 2005 07:12 PM
glencar The one from the 1983 movie.
December 21st, 2005 07:12 PM
glencar Or was it 1984?
December 22nd, 2005 06:57 AM
corgi37 Well, really, its 81. But the movie came out in 82.

Or was that 83?

You know, i love that era. I had my darling Jayne as a gal. I still see her too. I had a lovely huge Ford Falcon, which i wrote off twice due to drugs/drink. I would party from Friday to Sunday. It was the grand era of the teen movie. Fraternity Vacation, Joysticks, Hamburger High, Friday the 13 (especially part 3 in 3D). and so many others.

Also, Speilberg was hot with ET and Poltergeist. Boy did i fall in love with Jo Beth Williams from Poltergeist. What a top MILF! I love that look of oversized football jumper & "cotton tail" panties.

Then there's chicks with fluffy hair. leg warmers. Thick pubes. O.J. Simpson flogging cowboy boots in Penthouse. Australia won the America's Cup, we got our 1st video player.

Yeah, the 80's man. It was cool.

Voodoo Scrounge If you guys are on about the version that features on "Still Life" then I am in agreement.

Rock and Roll

December 22nd, 2005 08:03 AM
marko 1981-82.Also the best opener.
December 22nd, 2005 08:32 AM
Voodoo Scrounge by a mile the best opener
December 22nd, 2005 09:12 AM
Shawn20 Though I love the 81 version of Under My Thumb, you just can't beat the 69 version. Listen to the sound of the guitars.......more bluesy and rocking than the 81 sound.
December 22nd, 2005 09:19 AM
marko Yea,but 81 grooves. Thanks to BILL and charlie.
December 22nd, 2005 06:13 PM

Voodoo Scrounge I think Ronnie is great on the 81 track too!
December 23rd, 2005 06:02 AM
J.J.Flash Altamont 69 and the the one of Still Life/Hampton Roads are killer versions
December 23rd, 2005 09:06 AM
Taptrick
The St Louis 81 version kicked serious ass....I think....it's been a long time and I have never seen a boot of that show.

Social D' throws that track hard sometimes as well.

marko St.Louis-81.
ONLY missing show from 1981 tour, meaning the main tour.
Also the warm-up gig is missing.
December 24th, 2005 03:33 AM
wgwalsh The mix of UNDER MY THUMB that appears on FORTY LICKS is quite nice. IT'S ALL OVER NOW also sounds great on LICKS.

The SACD of 12 x 5 is also an improved sounding piece of work.

The best sounding SACD is LET IT BLEED.

Go ahead and buy these discs for the holidays, you are worth it !
