Table Mountain Casino: Los Lobos
jazznews.com Dec 21,2005
In a long-awaited concert tour, Los Lobos finally brings their mythic 1992 Kiko album to the concert stage -- and Table Mountain Casino in Fresno brings Los Lobos to their enthusiastic Valley fans on Wednesday, December 28.
Los Lobos will perform in the intimate setting of the Table Mountain Casino Entertainment Center, a venue that is perfect for their creative acoustical approach to a special form of rock. Los Lobos is expected to recreate their cultural roots and inspire their audience in the intimate Table Mountain Event Center, a setting that will let them journey with their fans "to places no other group has traveled."
Named album of the year in 1992 by critics, Kiko has been hailed as the revolutionary "roots-rock equivalent of Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Each song features its own mix of styles that "doesn't seem like a blend of different genres, but rather the product of different imaginations coming together."
The concert will also feature many fan favorites from more than nineteen albums over the years, including 2005's Acoustic En Vivo. Each Los Lobos album and every song seems to possess a distinct blend of Tex-Mex, Folk, Country, R & B, Blues and traditional Mexican songs. This special Los Lobos sound, instantly recognized by their huge throng of loyal fans is a perfect way to celebrate the music you love and Table Mountain Casino's anniversary, during this Appreciation Celebration by Fresno's favorite local gaming destination.

Los Lobos is one of the better bands to come out of East LA, who has had staying power into their 3rd decade.
Here in the PROM (Peoples Republic Of Massachusetts) I enrich friends with their rich blend of music. |
